Dire Dawa University Leadership
The governing bodies of Dire-Dawa University consist of the following:
The University is governed by Board and has a President and Vice
Presidents and Scientific Director as stipulated under the higher education proclamation.
- The University Board:
The University Board of Directors is the supreme governing body of the University.
- The Univeristy President
The University President is the chief executive officer of the University. The President is assisted by the University Senate and councils.
- Vice President for Academic Affairs
The vice-president for Academic Affairs advises and supports the president in the exercise of his responsibilities regarding teaching and learning. All academic branches of the University directly report to Vice President for the Academic Affairs.
- Vice President for Research and Community Engagement
The Vice President for Research and Community Engagement leads and supervise research, technology interchange and industry linkage activities of the University; and follow up the execution of decisions pertinent to his office
- Vice-President for Administrative and Development
The Vice-President for Administrative and Development advises, assists and supports the president in the exercise of his responsibilities regarding the support processes of the University.
- Scientific Director of Dire-Dawa Institute of Technology
Scientific Director of DDIT is the executive officer of the Dire-Dawa Institute of Technology\(DDIT). The governance of DDIT shall be based on IoT's Autonomy Directive.
